Sandvik – a steady growth of UX rating

Sandvik’s communication department is working together with E-space to continuously develop and monitor their website in order to meet the users and the company needs.

The work resulted in a steady growth of rating for each year since 2011. Today Sandvik has the highest E-space benchmark rate for international group websites. 77% of all Sandvik website users find what they are looking for, which is one of the highest scores E-space has ever measured for corporate websites.


For their key visitor groups, the scores are even higher. Among the 100 websites that are in the benchmark for international corporate websites, where the average Find Score is 45*, Sandvik has a Find Score of 69.

A key to the good results has always been to continuously measure and analyze the users’ perception, needs, and satisfaction on the target group level.

– It helps us in our work to develop the webpage structure, content and functionality according to our most important target groups’ needs and expectations. We are also working towards directing our customers and potential customers to Sandvik’s other webpages for our different product- and service offerings says Anki Hallman, Channel Specialist within the Sandvik Group.

The business area Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology, and product area Sandvik Coromant has their own websites who turns directly towards the user group Customers. The websites have their own evaluations to optimize user experience for those specific target groups.


* Find Score measures how well users manage to find what they are looking for on a website. It’s calculated as the difference between the part of users that find exactly what they are looking for and the part that don’t find at all what they are looking for.
